SlipTrace has three parts: a Windows companion that captures telemetry while you race, an Android app where you review every lap, and a public profile that becomes your driving portfolio. Here's the full journey, from install to share.

Install the Windows companion
Download the installer and create a free account. The companion is self-contained — no runtimes to install, no configuration files to edit. It lives in the system tray, launches its own telemetry service, and can start automatically with Windows so it's always ready when you are.

One-time setup
Pair your phone in 30 seconds
Open the SlipTrace Android app and tap Pair Device — it shows a QR code. In the PC companion, click Pair with phone and scan it. That's the whole setup: the two stay linked until you unpair, surviving restarts on both ends.

Just race
The companion captures every lap automatically
Race in Assetto Corsa Competizione (fully supported), iRacing or Le Mans Ultimate (both in testing). The companion reads live telemetry while you drive and records every lap, sector split, and personal best — locally first, so nothing interrupts your race.
No manual exports. No digging through replay files. No "forgot to hit record." If your PC is offline, sessions queue up and sync when connectivity returns.

Review laps, sectors, and personal bests
When your stint ends, the session syncs. Open the app and it's already there: every lap, sector splits, deltas, track maps, organised by track and date. Because the history persists, you can see whether you're actually getting faster over weeks and months — not just how one session went.

Build a driver profile worth sharing
Your best moments become a public driver profile you can share anywhere. Other drivers can like, comment, and follow — and any session can be flipped to private when you'd rather keep a scrappy practice run to yourself.

Local-first capture
Laps are recorded to local storage while you race. Nothing depends on your connection mid-session, and a crash never costs you a stint.
Syncs once, at session end
One upload when the session finishes — not a stream of writes while you drive. Offline sessions queue and sync when you reconnect.
No in-race overhead
The companion reads the sim’s shared telemetry output. It never injects into the game or touches your frame rate.
